Reverse description A bold long cross pattée dominates the reverse field, with a rosette at its center intersection and a fleur-de-lis ornament placed in each of the four angles formed by the arms of the cross. The encircling legend, divided by the four arms of the cross, is rendered in Gothic uncial script and reads SIT NOMEN DNI BENEDICTUM, invoking the blessing of the Lord's name, a common devotional formula on late medieval ecclesiastical coinage.
