| Obverse description | Central device consists of the crowned royal monogram of Charles XIV Johan: a large ornate letter C enclosing the Roman numeral XIV, surmounted by a royal crown. Three small crowns — the emblems of Sweden — are positioned around the monogram, one to the left, one to the right, and one below, within the inner field. The circular legend reads FOLKETS KÄRLEK MIN BELÖNING (The love of the people is my reward), separated by dots, and runs along the inner edge of a beaded border that frames the entire obverse. |
