Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justin I facing right, rendered in the late antique style typical of Ostrogothic silver coinage struck in the imperial name. The effigy is surrounded by a Latin legend in the outer field, with lettering distributed around the bust.

Reverse description The interlaced monogram of Theoderic, composed of the letters R and D (THEODERICVS), occupies the central field, with a small cross or pellet surmounting the monogram above. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded or wreathed border, as is characteristic of Ostrogothic quarter-siliquae struck at Ravenna. The reverse bears no additional legend.
