Reverse description The reverse field is divided horizontally by a raised line separating two registers, following standard Mughal quarter-rupee convention. The upper register bears a bold Persian Nasta'liq inscription in the field, with ornamental pellets visible among the letterforms. The lower register contains the regnal year in Eastern Arabic numerals (٢٤, denoting the 24th regnal year of Shah Alam II) alongside the Hijri date (١١٩٧ or ١١٩٨). The script is rendered in a robust, slightly rustic style characteristic of provincial Kishangarh mint production. The flan is irregular at the edges, consistent with hammered coinage of the period.
