| Reverse description | Central field displaying a multi-line Persian inscription in Nastaliq script, reading 'Zarb Munbai Sanat Julus Maimanat Manus' (Struck at Bombay during the year of his reign of tranquil prosperity), with the regnal year (RY) frozen at either 9 or 10 as a convention of the Bombay Presidency Malabar Coast coinage. The mint name 'Munbai' (Bombay) is clearly indicated within the legend. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, characteristic of the hammered technique employed. The inscription fills the field with minimal border ornamentation. |
