Obverse description Unadorned right-facing bust of King Adolf Fredrik with flowing long hair, the truncation of the neck-cut clearly defined. A continuous Latin legend encircles the effigy along the rim, identifying the monarch by name and royal title. The portrait reflects the restrained Baroque engraving style characteristic of mid-18th century Swedish coinage. On certain issues, the engraver's initial F appears in the field between the hair and the neck truncation.
