Reverse description Central field features the crowned arms of Amsterdam — a pale charged with three Saint Andrew's crosses (saltires) — supported on either side by rampant lions acting as heraldic supporters, each facing inward toward the shield. The crown above the shield is of a closed or imperial form, finely rendered. The composition is tightly arranged within the flan with no surrounding legend, the design framed by a milled rope-twist inner border consistent with the obverse. The hammered fabric of the flan is evident in the irregular surface texture.
