Obverse description The obverse displays the crowned arms of Caracas at center, consisting of an oval shield charged with a cross, supported by a lion passant to the right, the whole surmounted by a large royal crown. The shield and supporters are rendered in low relief against a plain field. The circular legend CARACAS ANO DE, followed by the date, runs along the periphery, with a toothed or milled border encircling the entire design.

Reverse description The reverse features a prominent fractional denomination expressed as '1/4' in bold numerals at the center of the field, with a horizontal bar separating the numerator from the denominator. Above the fraction, an elaborate royal cipher composed of intertwined crowned monograms — referencing the reigning Spanish monarch — occupies the upper field, flanked by foliate scrollwork. Small oak-leaf sprigs flank the lower numeral, and the entire design is enclosed within a toothed milled border.
