Obverse description The obverse features a circular Arabic legend filling the entire field, arranged in an elegant calligraphic band encircling a plain central field. The inscription, rendered in flowing Naskh script, reads the royal title and name of King Abd Al-Aziz Al-Saud, identifying him as King of Hejaz and Sultan of Nejd. The lettering radiates inward from the raised rim, with no central motif or effigy, consistent with the aniconic tradition of Islamic coinage. The overall design is bold and densely inscribed, the calligraphy occupying virtually the entire coin face.
