| Obverse description | Central field bearing a two-line Arabic inscription reading 'al-Amīr / Yūsuf' (the Prince / Yusuf), enclosed within a circular cartouche. The design is surrounded by a beaded border following the irregular flan edge. The lettering, though compact on this diminutive flan, is executed in the angular Kufic script typical of Almoravid coinage.
