| Obverse description | Central field depicts the enthroned effigy of Fath Ali Shah in full regalia, shown in a stylized frontal pose seated cross-legged upon an ornate royal dais with decorative stepped base. The Shah wears an elaborate jeweled crown and richly detailed court attire adorned with dotted ornamental patterns. To the upper left, a flowering plant or cypress motif occupies the field alongside a Persian inscription in nastaliq script; to the upper right, a radiant sun symbol with emanating rays is prominently displayed. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, rendered in the characteristically bold, high-relief hammered style of Qajar coinage. |

| Reverse description | Central field contains a multi-line Persian legend in bold nastaliq script filling the entire inner area, recording the mint name and regnal formula. The inscription reads the mint epithet 'Dar al-Saltana Isfahan' along with the AH date 1242, all executed in high-relief hammered calligraphy with decorative dotted embellishments interspersed throughout the lettering. The legend is contained within a raised inner circle, itself surrounded by a prominent outer beaded border running the full circumference of the coin, consistent with Qajar hammered silver coinage of the period. |
