Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of King Edward VII occupies the central field, rendered in high relief after the effigy designed by George William de Saulles. A clockwise Latin legend encircles the portrait, reading EDWARDUS VII REX IMPERATOR. The entire design is contained within a beaded border applied to the rim.
