| Obverse description | A large hollow crown rendered in relief at the center of the field, characteristic of the bracteate striking technique whereby the design is impressed through a single thin silver flan. The crown motif is enclosed within a plain inner circle. The flan is irregular in outline, as is typical of this diminutive denomination, and the surface shows the pronounced concavity inherent to bracteate coinage. No legend or inscription is present. |
