| Obverse description | A bold plain cross dominates the field, its four arms extending to a plain inner circle, with a small annulet or pellet-in-annulet ornament placed in each of the four quadrants. The design is rendered in high relief characteristic of medieval Norwegian hammered coinage. No legend or inscription is present. The flan is irregular and slightly diamondoid in outline, typical of the period's hand-cut silver planchets. |
