Reverse description As a bracteate-style coin of exceptionally thin flan, the reverse displays the incuse mirror impression of the obverse design: a recessed Latin cross with globular arm-terminals visible in negative relief at the centre, surrounded by the corresponding incuse concentric ring impressions. The surface shows the characteristic irregular flan edges and rough texture associated with medieval Norwegian hammered coinage of this period.
