Obverse description Schematically rendered royal bust facing right in high relief, executed in the bold but primitive hammered style characteristic of late 12th-century Norwegian bracteates. The effigy occupies the central field and is enclosed within a raised solid ring border that follows the irregular flan edge. Facial features — including the nose, chin, and eye — are rendered in a simplified, almost abstract manner typical of the period. No legend or inscription is present on the obverse.

Reverse description As a bracteate struck on an extremely thin flan of approximately 0.04 g, the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design. The schematic bust facing right is visible in intaglio relief, with the surrounding solid ring border appearing as a recessed channel. The surface retains the characteristic uneven texture of hand-hammered medieval Norwegian coinage.
