Reverse description The reverse bears a two-line Arabic inscription in bold, deeply struck calligraphic characters filling the central field. The word 'ضرب' (zarb, meaning 'struck') appears in the upper portion, with 'خالق آباد' (Khaliqabad) below, identifying the mint of issue. The lettering is rendered in a fluid, cursive Naskh style characteristic of Tipu Sultan's coinage, with strokes extending nearly to the rim of the flan. The field surrounding the inscription is plain and unadorned, consistent with the functional aesthetic of Mysore copper coinage of this period.
