Obverse description The obverse displays the royal cypher of Queen Christina of Sweden, composed of the crowned initial 'C' at the top center flanked by two lozenge ornaments, above a triangular arrangement of three Swedish crowns filling the central field. The letters 'R' and 'S' appear in the lower left and right fields respectively, together with 'C' above forming the abbreviated legend CRS (Christina Regina Sueciae). The entire design is contained within a toothed or milled inner border, with the crowns rendered in high relief in the characteristic bold hammered style of the Avesta Mint.
