Reverse description A cross fleurée occupies the full field, its terminals adorned with elaborate fleur-de-lis flourishes and a pellet at the centre point and in each angle of the cross. The entire composition is contained within a cusped polylobe, the arches of which are decorated alternately with lions passant guardant and fleurs-de-lis in high relief. Pellets fill the spandrels between the polylobe and the outer border. A Latin legend in uncial script encircles the design between beaded borders, presenting the devotional phrase.
