Obverse description The obverse presents multiple lines of elegantly executed Nasta'liq Arabic-Persian calligraphy filling the central field, framed by a raised linear border. The inscription, rendered in bold relief typical of late Zand-period hammered gold coinage, occupies the full face of the flan and contains the royal legend and mint or ruler attributions. The irregular flan edges, characteristic of hand-struck issues, are visible around the perimeter. The script flows in sweeping cursive strokes with pronounced relief against the flat gold field, demonstrating the refined die-cutting tradition of the Shiraz mint under Taqi Khan Bafqi.
