Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold Arabic calligraphic inscription rendered in a fluid, intertwined Nasta'liq style, enclosed within a lobed cartouche or scalloped inner border. The inscription occupies the full depth of the central medallion and is surrounded by a beaded or dotted inner circle. The outer field between the inner border and the coin's irregular flan edge is left plain, consistent with the hammered production technique of Zand-dynasty gold coinage.

Reverse description The reverse presents multiple horizontal registers of Arabic calligraphic legend in Nasta'liq script, separated by raised linear divisions that divide the field into distinct bands. The upper register carries the ruler's name and titles, the central registers contain the mint name Shiraz and additional formulaic phrases, and the lower register bears the regnal or Hijri date. The composition fills the flan entirely, with no exergue, consistent with the Zand Type B coinage format attributed to Karim Khan.
