| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a bold Arabic calligraphic inscription rendered in a fluid, intertwined Nasta'liq style, enclosed within a lobed cartouche or scalloped inner border. The inscription occupies the full depth of the central medallion and is surrounded by a beaded or dotted inner circle. The outer field between the inner border and the coin's irregular flan edge is left plain, consistent with the hammered production technique of Zand-dynasty gold coinage. |
