Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line kalima (Shahada) inscription in bold Nasta'liq script, invoking the name of Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha. The Arabic religious legend is rendered in raised hammered relief across the flan, filling the field. A raised linear border frames the inscription area.
