Reverse description Central device consists of a stylised trishula (trident) rising from a conch shell within a small raised inner circle, a traditional royal and Shaivite symbol associated with the Shah dynasty of Nepal. Surrounding the central medallion, Devanagari inscriptions are distributed in the four quadrants of the field, recording the Vikrama Samvat regnal date. The numeral date 1951 (VS) appears in Devanagari numerals at the base of the design. The entire composition is enclosed within a plain inner circle and an outer beaded border.
