Obverse description A boldly rendered lion passant occupies the central field, depicted in left profile with a full mane and tail arched upward, rendered in high relief in the Italian Art Deco style. The country name SHQIPNI (Albania) appears as a legend along the upper field in large incuse Latin letters. The date 1926 is inscribed in the lower field, with the Rome Mint mark R positioned directly below in the exergue. The engravers' signatures G. ROMAGNOLI and A. MOTTI INC. are incised in small letters beneath the lion's hindquarters at lower right.
