| Reverse description | Two heraldic shields displayed side by side within a beaded inner circle: the left shield bears the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg (a lion rampant over a fess), while the right shield displays the personal arms of Leonhard von Keutschach (a turnip or kohlrabi, his family's heraldic charge). The two shields are joined at the top by a crossed crozier and sword, symbols of episcopal temporal and spiritual authority. The date 1513 appears in Gothic numerals beneath the shields in the lower field. The encircling Latin legend, divided by the inner beaded border, identifies the issuing archbishop and his see. |
