| Reverse description | The reverse retains the corresponding quarter section of the original Dutch 1 Gulden host coin, displaying fragmentary design elements from the original die including portions of the milled border and remaining legend. The surface shows the characteristic cut edges resulting from the deliberate quartering of the host coin, with the countermark impression visible in relief from the obverse strike. The reverse field is largely plain save for residual design elements of the parent coin. |
