| Obverse description | A large Gothic letter A occupies the central field, set within a raised quadrilobe frame whose four lobes are separated by small pellets in each spandrel. The quadrilobe is enclosed within a plain inner circle, beyond which a beaded border separates the central device from the circumferential legend. The lettering, rendered in uncial characters, reads MED COMES SABAVDIE and runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. |
