Reverse description The reverse presents a three-quarter facing figure of Saint Rudbertus (Rupert), patron saint and first Bishop of Salzburg, depicted in full pontifical vestments including mitre and richly ornamented cope, seated frontally with hands raised in a gesture of blessing. The saint holds his episcopal attributes and is shown in a dignified, hieratic pose characteristic of Baroque ecclesiastical iconography. The date 1688 appears prominently in the upper field to the left of the figure. The circumscribed Latin legend S·RVDBERTVS·EPS·SALISB·1688· encircles the design, and the whole composition is framed by a beaded border.
