The state name COLORADO and the year of statehood 1876 appear as the upper legend, while the date 2006 and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM are inscribed below the banner. The design was engraved by N. E. Nemeth and Leonard Buckley as part of the 50 State Quarters Program. |
