Reverse description The reverse presents a highly detailed panoramic view of the Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico, depicting the ancient Ancestral Puebloan architectural complex. In the foreground, a large circular kiva with its characteristic tiered stone masonry dominates the lower field, while the ruins of multi-storied stone structures and canyon walls recede dramatically into the mid- and background. The legend CHACO CULTURE arcs along the upper rim, with NEW MEXICO inscribed along the lower left and E PLURIBUS UNUM along the lower right. The date 2012 appears in the exergue at the bottom of the design. The composition, designed by Donna Weaver and sculpted by Joseph Menna, conveys the archaeological grandeur and cultural significance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
