Reverse description The reverse depicts a scenic view of the Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico, featuring two prominent circular kiva depressions in the foreground set amid rocky terrain and canyon walls rising toward the upper right. The design evokes the ancient Ancestral Puebloan architectural landscape of Chaco Canyon. The legend CHACO CULTURE arcs along the upper border, with NEW MEXICO inscribed to the lower left and E PLURIBUS UNUM along the lower right. The date 2012 appears in the lower exergue, and the designer's initials PH and DW are incorporated discretely within the design field. The composition was engraved by Phebe Hemphill and Donna Weaver.
