| Obverse description | Central within the rectangular gold-plated field, a circular raised medallion bears the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait, diademed and draped. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left, SOLOMON ISLANDS along the upper right, and 1/4 DOLLAR at the right within the circle. The date 2015 appears in the lower portion of the medallion, with the engraver's initials IRB incuse below the Queen's truncation. The surrounding rectangular field is polished and plain, rendered in lustrous gold-plated finish. |
