Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Liberty facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with an oak wreath and a liberty cap; the neck truncation shows a caduceus. The legend IN GOD WE TRUST arcs above along the rim, flanked by thirteen six-pointed stars arranged in a semicircle around the field. The date appears in the lower exergue. This cast counterfeit, struck in lead, displays pronounced cracking and surface porosity typical of contemporary forgeries, with notably soft and mushy detail in the devices.
