Obverse description Hammered silver flan of irregular outline displaying concentric circular arrangements of Kufic Arabic legend in the field. A central pellet or annulet occupies the innermost zone, surrounded by a raised inner circle, with additional Arabic inscription bands radiating outward toward a marginal legend running along the coin's periphery. The die work is characteristic of early Fatimid hammered coinage, with slightly uneven strike and moderate relief typical of quarter-dirham fractions attributed to the reign of al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah (953–975).
