Obverse description Effigy of King Hussein II in three-quarter right-facing portrait, set within a small inner circle flanked by olive sprigs. The entire composition is enclosed within an ornate outer border surmounted by a royal crown at top. The Hijri and Gregorian dates 1952–1977 appear in the lower portion of the design, with Arabic commemorative legend encircling the central portrait.

(Translation: Twenty-fifth anniversary of sitting on the throne)
Reverse description Detailed view of the Treasury of Petra (Al-Khazneh), the celebrated Nabataean rock-cut facade, rendered in fine relief at the center of the field. The monument is depicted with its characteristic two-tiered Hellenistic facade featuring columns, pediments, and sculpted figures. The curved legend THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN / THE SILVER JUBILEE OF KING HUSSEIN arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border. Below the monument, the Gregorian year 1977 and Hijri year ١٣٩٧ appear flanking a central dot, with QUARTER DINAR in English at lower left and ربع دينار in Arabic at lower right.
