| Reverse description | Central design features a large, naturalistically rendered spreading tree — the oak of Jordan — enclosed within a circular wreath of olive branches with berries, the wreath itself forming an inner frame within the coin's field. The dual dates 1975 (Gregorian) and ١٣٩٥ (Hijri) appear flanking the base of the tree trunk within the wreath. The English legend THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN curves along the upper periphery, while QUARTER DINAR appears along the lower right in Latin script, with the Arabic equivalent رُبع دينَار along the lower left, all separated by the beaded border. The design is the work of engraver Michael Rizzello. |
