The collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece is suspended below the cross at the base. The entire design is enclosed by a continuous Latin legend along the periphery, with the date appearing in the lower portion of the legend. The composition is bold and heraldic in character, reflecting the dynastic symbolism of the Habsburg Netherlands. |
