| Obverse description | Central field bearing the tughra of Sultan Mustafa III rendered in elaborate calligraphic Arabic script, executed in the Ottoman style with interlocking strokes and decorative flourishes. The legend is arranged in three horizontal registers separated by a ruled line, with the sultan's name and titles filling the field. The whole is enclosed within a plain inner circle surrounded by a beaded border, characteristic of hammered coinage of the Algerian Regency. |
