| Obverse description | The Panamanian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by a Harpy Eagle with spread wings above and a cornucopia and winged wheel to either side. The shield quarters display crossed sword and rifle, shovel and pickaxe, a cornucopia, and a winged wheel, with the national motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO inscribed on a banner across the shield. Ten five-pointed stars arc above the arms. The legend REPÚBLICA DE PANAMA curves along the upper periphery, and the date 2016 appears in the exergue. |
