| Obverse description | A large Arabic countermark applied to the central field, bearing the inscription indicating the mint of Muscat and the Hijri date 1315. Surrounding the countermark, a circular Latin and Arabic legend reads 'FESSUL BIN TURKEE IMAM OF MUSCAT AND OMAN' along the outer border, with a toothed or beaded rim. The denomination '1/4 ANNA' appears in the lower portion of the field beneath the countermark impression. |
