| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Maharaja Madho Rao Scindia occupying the central field, depicted wearing a traditional plumed turban and an elaborate multi-strand pearl necklace. The effigy is rendered in fine relief with careful attention to facial features including a short beard and moustache. A circular Devanagari legend surrounds the portrait, reading 'Shri Madhavarao Shinde Alijabahadur' to the upper and lateral fields, with 'Gwalior' inscribed along the lower border. |
