Obverse description Central field displays the crowned Danish lion passant, rendered in low relief in the characteristic late Renaissance hammered style, set within a beaded inner circle. The lion faces right with tail raised, representing the arms of Schleswig. A circular Latin legend runs along the outer periphery of the coin, partially obscured by the crude strike typical of small hammered silver issues of the period.
