| Obverse description | A stag passant to the left stands before a column surmounted by a crown, the whole within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend contains the titles of the two co-ruling counts in Latin abbreviation. The stag, a traditional heraldic device of the Counts of Stolberg, is rendered with naturalistic detail, its shaggy coat clearly defined. The field is flat and unadorned, drawing attention to the central charge. |
