Obverse description Central vertically elongated Spanish-style shield bearing the two-fold arms of Anhalt-Zerbst, surmounted by an ornate crested helmet with mantling. The shield and helmet are rendered in a baroque heraldic style typical of late seventeenth-century German coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the central device, naming the issuing prince.
