| Obverse description | Central imperial orb bearing the numeral '24' in the lower half, surmounted by a cross and crown, all within a beaded inner circle. The date appears divided to either side of the orb. The surrounding circular legend in Latin reads IOH. SIG. D. G. MAR. BRA. R. I., identifying the issuer as John Sigismund by the grace of God, Margrave of Brandenburg and Prince of the Holy Roman Empire. The overall design is characteristic of early 17th-century German hammered small silver coinage. |
