| Additional information |
Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt was among the smallest of the Thuringian principalities, a territory so fragmented by partible inheritance that its coinage history reads like a genealogical puzzle. By 1753, John Frederick ruled a domain of modest means, and fractional silver like this 1⁄24 Thaler served the everyday commerce that larger denominations could not reach. The Fischer Sc#533 reference places it within a well-documented but sparsely collected series.
