Obverse description Central field bears a five-fold quartered coat of arms surmounted by an electoral crown, displaying the heraldic devices of Brandenburg-Prussia including the Hohenzollern eagle and other territorial emblems. The shield is rendered in high relief with finely detailed quartering. A circular Latin legend surrounds the arms, reading the ruler's abbreviated titles. The overall composition is characteristic of late seventeenth-century German milled coinage.
