Obverse description Crowned royal cypher of Friedrich II (FR) in monogram form, centrally positioned within the field, flanked by the two digits of the regnal year, one on each side of the monogram. The elaborate crowned cipher is rendered in the Baroque style characteristic of Frederician coinage. The date appears split across the monogram, with the year digits positioned to the left and right respectively.
