Reverse description The reverse displays the Saxon arms — the distinctive barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin — set within an oval baroque frame surmounted by a ducal crown. The surrounding circular legend, interrupted by the crowned shield, reads F.S.GOTHA.ALTENB.U.COB.L.M., referencing the territories of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and Coburg-Lichtenberg-Marksuhl. The mintmaster's initials GFS appear at the base of the design below the shield. A beaded border frames the entire composition.
