Obverse description The central field displays the elaborately quartered arms of Electoral Saxony, incorporating the various heraldic charges of the Wettin dynasty including the Polish eagle, Lithuanian horseman, and Saxon barry with a rampant lion in the heart shield, all surmounted by an electoral crown. Two lion supporters flank the shield. The encircling Latin legend names the issuer, Elector Frederick Christian, Prince Royal of Poland and Duke of Saxony, with the mint mark EDC appearing below the shield at the base of the design.

Reverse description The denomination '24 EINEN THALER' is boldly rendered in three lines across the central field, indicating this coin's value as the 24th part of a Thaler. A small ornamental rosette or pellet divides the central inscription from the encircling outer legend, which states the fineness standard of 320 Ein Feine Marck, and incorporates the date 1763 within the legend, conforming to the standard Saxon fineness declaration coinage convention of the period.
